I build a lot of aircraft models for clients and shows, and I need to transport them easily and securely. After finding a box that is deeper than the longest fuselage, I cut 1 1⁄2"-deep, V-shaped slots in the sides of the box. I slide the models’ wings into the slots tail down. This suspends the aircraft vertically and securely for transport.
