More times than I could count, I put a drop of super glue on wax paper (or other resistant surface) and, moments later, forgot it was there and set a tool, brush, hand, or model part right on top of it. To minimize this problem, I place a large spray-can cap on the table, flat surface up, and attach a couple of strips of masking tape to the top. When I need a drop of super glue, I put it on that. This keeps the glue above tabletop level, making it easier to see and avoid. When too much glue accumulates, simply change the tape.
