Keep a model log book

RELATED TOPICS: MODELING TOOLS
Since 1996, I have kept a logbook for every model I build. I record the kit manufacturer and kit number, scale, date built, and the time it took me to build it. I list paint colors, brands, and reference numbers. In remarks, I rate the kit’s pros and cons and contest results, if any. Being able to reference the paint info helps down the road with other models and when filling out registration slips for contests.
